We would have loved to have stayed in Refuge Cove for longer
but a really good weather window opened up with a forecast of light winds
behind us and small seas .
But before we left, we ensured our stay would be remembered, along with the other hundreds of yachties who had visited this anchorage.
We departed Refuge Cove at 5.15am with an approx. 40 hour sail ahead of us. Fingers crossed this is our last overnighter for a while.
The forecaster’s were right and the sailing was easy going
apart from the lack of sleep. The wind
abated late afternoon and we ended up motoring throughout the night.
